Fun in Austin

This post is for everyone at the KW Mega Agent & Internet Camps in Austin this week.

What an amazing experience! You are the most brilliant, inspiring & friendly group of people I've ever had the opportunity to meet. My head is spinning with all of your great ideas! For me personally, I overcame a HUGE fear of public speaking. I had never spoken in front of more than about 50 people in the past, so when I saw that there were going to be over 2,000 people in the convention center during my panel, I had MAJOR panic attacks. I have to say that Dave Jenks & Bryon Ellington were pros at just making it so casual and conversational that once I was up there I didn't want it to end!

You know how when you get up in front of people and then afterwards think... I should have said this, or I shouldn't have said that, or that came out wrong. OK.... well I did a few of those. First, the TRUE reason I didn't give out my website address was because my assistant and buyer agent were overwhelmed as it was, and guess what.... afterwards, I received HUNDREDS of property registrations over a 3 hour period ( so I guess I was pretty easy to find anyway) and since I didn't know who was real and who was a KW agent, I had to respond to everyone as though it was real. UGH! So next time, please just write me a note that you're an agent and I will be happy to share.

And the " That came out wrong"... well, I didn't mean that I actually work on my site for 3 to 4 hours a day. Most of the time its "working my site", which is different... its kindof like the 3-4 hours Gary & Dave were referring to.. the calls & followups ( the 20%).

It has been such an honor to be a part of Bryon Ellington's study on Internet Lead Generation and now part of the Associate Technology Council for the next 2 years. For me, working with this group of absolutely brilliant people is the highlight of my career.

Oh, one last thing... the reason I REALLY agreed to be on the panel is because I knew the google guy was going to be up there with me, so I figured if I get to know him and I drop in the search engines, I can just give him a call! :)
